Rangoli Competition

Creative Craft is an expression of the unique imagination of the children where they learn to make items like soft toys, chimes, cards, bags, decorative candles, table lamps etc. However, our students of standard V to IX participated with a lot of enthusiasm in the much awaited event 'The Inter House Rangoli Competition' which was conducted in November 2014 on the occasion of Diwali. They have put together their imaginative, creative and artistic skills to make vibrant and beautiful Rangolis. All the students exhibited their flair in the art by making beautiful Rangoli designs using geometric shapes, deity impressions and floral motifs. The judging criteria were based on symmetry, colour combination, creativity and the neatness of the Rangoli patterns. These Rangolis have gained a lot of attention and appreciation from the alumni of other schools.

Card Making Competition

We have also organised an Inter House Card Making Competition for classes 5 to 10 where students participated keenly and made beautiful cards by dint of their creativity. The theme was based on Diwali. The festival also signifies the welcoming of prosperity and wealth in the lives of all fellow beings irrespective of caste, creed or religion. The students learnt about the tradition and customs that are duly associated with the celebration of the “Festival of Lights”. They exchanged these cards amongst their little cute fellow mates as a sign of celebration, togetherness and festivities. The judges who had consented to evaluate the competition were Mr. Bhikhubhai Thakkar and Mr. Harish Thakkar. They were greatly impressed to see the beautiful greeting cards created by the young enthusiasts. This creativity was highly appreciated by our education minister, teachers and parents.
