English plays a key role in our educational system and national life. Since English is so widely spoken, it has often been referred to as a "world language" of the modern era and while it is not an official language in most countries, it is currently the language most often taught as a foreign language. English is one of the official languages of the United Nations and many other international organisations.

At Muktajivan English School, the teachers encourage students to communicate in English with them. This will help brush up English-speaking skills of weaker students in English as revealed in their results every year. The teaching of English has been made more practical and language-oriented. It is being taught as a language of comprehension rather than as a literary language. The role of English at a given point in time affects both the way it is taught and the resultant impact on the daily life and growth of the individual. 

Objectives of the English Speaking Drive

The main goal of this drive is to help students improve their spoken English skills to enable them to communicate more effectively in English. Our goal is to assist the students in developing skills in the goal areas (intelligibility, vocabulary, grammar, presentation and interactive communication) so that any deficiencies in skill or practice do not interfere with communication.
